How it works?

The method

Humanized education is based on the studies and application of neuroscience in the areas of positive discipline and non-violent communication.

Positive discipline is a method, with scientific proof, of relationship between the adult and the child, assuming that all human beings need connection to be happy people, therefore, violence and verbal abuse create a barrier between people, increases the distance and decrease the connection. Therefore, both at home and at school, the best way to solve problems is with respectful and positive dialogue, increasing connections. Many people still have a negative image of positive discipline, as being a discipline without limits and without rules, which is not true.

Adult self-control plays a big role in positive discipline.

The positive disciplineis to educate with respect, setting limits but with true connection and bonds of love and mutual trust with children. Raising a blindly obedient child is not the goal of positive discipline. Positive discipline aimsrespect the childand get their cooperation through kindness and bonding.

Nonviolent communication is directly linked to positive discipline. While in positive discipline we create connections to solve problems, in nonviolent communication we use communication to create those connections. Understanding that all children's actions are based on important and basic needs shifts the focus of language. For example, when a child cries, he is not being "impolite" or "going ugly in front of others", he is just communicating in his own way that something is bothering him.The way in which communication will be done is essential to create the positive discipline connection, and part of several neuro-linguistic studies, involving the development of the child's brain.

teaching based
in the investigation

Inquiry-based teaching, or inquiry-based learning, or Inquiry-based learning,is a teaching method that is based on natural curiosityof students, and in the innate desire of the human being to learn, think, analyze, be creative and inquisitive. This method aims to develop various interpersonal skills, such as autonomy, problem solving, understanding, critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration and several other skills that are developed through group problem solving.

In Inquiry-based learning, students are at the center of learning in an active way, being responsible for acquiring their knowledge, without separate disciplinary subjects, but in an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary way. The investigative process revolves around a stimulus given to children, which can be carried out in various ways such as excursions, photos, videos, games, etc.

During stimulation, children will naturally ask questions about, thus being able to ask or draw/write. In the classroom, the teacher revisits the stimulus, and through the students' questions, the class flows naturally, based on curiosities and surveysfrom the students.

The teacher's role then is to make sure that all questions are answered, not necessarily directly, but also through activities that can be applied in classes arising from the class where the stimulus was given.

workshops

for teachers

Humanized education workshops aim to teach practical everyday situations that can be addressed most effectively through positive discipline and nonviolent communication.

Changing the way of communication between teacher and student, and between parents and children, has a direct positive impact on their relationship, increasing the child's learning and mental health as well.

for parents

The workshops on humanized education aim to change the perspective of adults from thinking that commanding, increasing the tone of voice, cursing, etc. will make the child “stop” without socio-emotional consequences.

Understanding that every word spoken to a child creates a neural pathway that will be replicated by the child is very important and the first step towards change. Knowing how to break the cycle that many people went through in childhood of violent communication is the second step.

Bringing parents and teachers together in the mission to improve our children's communication and socio-emotional intelligence allows us to build a community of positive change, supporting each other in this challenging but rewarding process.
